Passengers

Passengers is a free rules-light story-driven Tabletop Roleplaying Game where your rolls cannot fail!

We took the mechanics from our roll&write game The Divide and implemented them in a TTRPG format. It is also inspired by the likes of PbtA, Honey Heist, Ghost/Echo and Lasers&Feelings. The first version is 4 pages and contains all core rules to play the game.

Just like in The Divide, you’ll roll 2 white d6s and 1 black d6 and choose 2 dice that represent the columns. Then, you choose actions in those columns and narrate the Scene. The blank spaces will be filled during character creation and give players the opportunity to make vastly different PCs. For example, you may roll a 2 and a 3. In this scene, you tell this to the table : I slink into the darkness (Hide action), and throw a rock at the other side of the room (Attact Attention action). This will create scenes that are dynamic and where the players will need to be creative with problem-solving.
