Fermentation Station
A downloadable game
For the release of Ritual Cuts' 3rd kickstarter, Microbia, a zine about magical fermentation, we are releasing a small free solo one-page roll & write about the many active things that happen in a ferment.
Here, we are mitigating good and bad bacteria through taking actions that affect temperature, sugar consumption and volatility. Meant to introduce aspects of lacto fermentation (the game representing a vegan kim chi), your brew has to survive its early, vulnerable days to slowly de-escalate the various variables that affect the brew.
It is a war game set in brine!

It is free! But if you want to pay what you want, you can do so here :

I never thought something like this can be made to a tabletop game! :)
And the subject relates to me a lot, as I studied these kind of processes.
It teaches me a lot, especially about game design.
Thanks a lot for making this!
Hi! Thank you :) I'm also a lot into fermentation and think it's such an interesting, energetic process that it has to be made into some kind of game.
